    INTERNSHIP REPORT CONTENTS/FORMAT

    For the students of M.A (JMC) 4th Semester

    The internship report should contain the following contents and follow the following format.

     

    CH # 01 Introduction                                                                              (08-12 pages)

     

    1.      Brief history of the  Media Organization                                                              (1-2 pages)

    2.      Policy  of the Media Organization and its impact on society                                     (1-2 pages)

    3.      Importance of  the media Organization foe society                                        (2-3 pages)

    4.      Structure of the Organization/ Chart(setup)                                                      (1-2 pages)

    5.      Activities of Various  sections of the organization                                            (1-2 pages)

    6.      Media Organization personnel profile including area of specialization       (1-2 pages)

    7.      Reasons for Opting the media Organization for internship                             (1-2 pages)

     

    CH # 02: Work Experience                                                                      (16-20 pages)

     

    1.      Task/Assignments given                                                                                         (1-3 Pages)

    2.      Tasks/Assignments performed                                                                              (2-4 pages)

    3.      Brief ACADEMIC/ THEORATICAL account of the Task / Assignments

          topics pursued.                                                                                                        (2-4 pages)

    4.      Detailed description of the section-wise Tasks/Assignments

          performed during internship.                                                                                 (6-8 pages)

    i)                    Detail of each assignment (Time duration , Format,

                sources , Talent/participants, Assistance,etc)

    ii)                   Equipment used (microphone, MD recorders, Still camera,

                           Adobe Audition, Quark Xpress, etc)

    5.        Skills learned during the internship.                                                                    (2-4 pages)

    6.      Any distinction achieved.                                                                                      (1-2 pages)

     

    CH # 03 Conclusion                                                                                (08-12 pages)

     

    1.      Modern media  trends (learned and observed during internship)

          and its relevancy with the courses taught during study.                                 (2-4 pages)                                                                                                                     

    2.      A brief summary of the work done/skills learned                                                (1-2 pages)

    3.      General problems and personal huddles faces during internship                   (2-4 pages)

    4.      Critical appreciation of the function and structure of the organization         (2-4 pages)

    5.      Suggestions for the improvement of the working of the organization             (2-4 pages)

    Appendix: Practical Work

    a.     News stories reported /edited(published and unpublished)

    b.     Broadcast programs recorded /edited/produced (aired or otherwise)

     

    Note: all practical work needs to be duly verified and signed by the in-charge at the

    institute where the internship is done.

  • JMC Radio Production Training

    Following students have been short listed for Radio Production Training (by Sadia Younus and Amna Gul) to start on June 8, 2009. If any of you cannot attend the training due to any reason, kindly inform us so that some other student is given a chance to participate in the said training.

     

    The session would start at 9:15 sharp. Kindly reach the department by 9 am PST (Pakistan Standard Time) on Monday, June 8, 2009.

    The trainers have the right to withdraw any student who does not appear for the training on time.

  • JMC Television Production Training

    TV Production Training would start on Monday, June 8, 2009 at 11:30 am PST (Pakistan Standard Time).

     

    The trainers have the right to withdraw any student who does not appear for the training on time.

  • Fine Arts classes to start after declaration of results

    KUST Fine Arts department will start its classes on 08 June, 2009. Credit for establishment of the department goes to the Vice Chancellor who took personal  interest in developing the same.  Initially he invited the famous painter Liaqat Ali to KUST and after getting his consent, the VC proceeded with the establishment og Fine Arts.

  • Exams section issues circular for deposit of final result

    KUST exam section has issued a circular to all teaching departments and institutes, instructing them to deposit all final results by 27 May, 2009 to ensure timely compilation of result.  The final result is to be declared on 05 June, 2009.

  • KUST students use modern technology for cheating

    Now cheating is very easy for students due to easy access to modern technology.  They save the cheating material in their mobile phones and then consult it during the paper.

  • KUST announced rechecking results

    KUST announced the rechecking results on 25 May, 2009.  This time university give a grass marks to all failure cases up to two marks. This positive attitude to the student’s career is highly appreciated by the fail student.  Now they are able to get admission in Master and they contribute toward Pakistan education rate.

  • BA BSc Exam announced

    KUST announced the BA BSc exam in first week of July.  All roll no slip will be send on postal service to their respective address.  If the student did not received the roll no slip than can contact to exam section.

  • University arrange summer program for probation students

    KUST arrange summer program for the probation students that they can not waste the time.  The course registration date will end on 09 June, 2009.  Administration announced that each course fee will be 2000 in which teacher will get 50% of the tuition fee.  But they also compel the dept that the number of the students should be 10 or above not less than this figure. 

  • KUST provides security for students

    KUST: University of Science and Technology (KUST) provide security guards for every situation. The guards are attentively doing their job on every gate of the whole departments of KUST. A police mobile car is also provided to check all the sides’ of KUST and to keep strick eye on every situation.
